Celebrated
actor Prince David Osei has expressed sincere sentiments concerning
Rapper and Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016 artist of the year winner,
E.L’s performance at the Tigo Ghana Music Awards mega Concert which took
place at the Accra International Conference Center last Saturday.
Amidst
the heavy rain, the event still took place without any difficulties and
as early as 8-9pm the auditorium was already full, the only time I came
in late. Goes to tell you how people have been anticipating the battle
of the tribes.
Everything looked to be in order and going great,
no problems or whatsoever until E.L stormed the stage. The crowd were
super excited and cheered him on as he did his intro performance behind
the main stage.
But just when he was finally set to hit the main
stage, something drastic happened which baffled most people including
the artist himself.
Difficulty in Technical issues came into the
picture. We had to wait for over 20minutes before the show could
continue in what looked to be a sabotage, for what reasons, nobody knows
and even though E.L was very disappointed and went on to entertain the
crowd like he does best, Olamide would go on to win the 2nd round with a
far more electrifying performance.
The 5-star winner at the
Vgmas, Elom Adablah acted professionally, in most cases, any other
artist might have stormed out of the venue or acted arrogantly
different, and actor Prince David Osei who admitted he almost broke down
in tears for the rapper has voiced out his Opinion concerning the
issue.
Read David's post below:
"So about lastnight
Ghana meet Nija...Just my thoughts why was it that the power never
tripped?Or microphone messed up before EL performed or after his
performance???All other artiste had their microphone and whatever have
you, going well for them except EL... let's learn to love one another
the hate, jealousy, sabotage, won't take us anywhere ...Whether Moses or
Gaddafi likes or not He's the Artiste of the year according to VGMA 2016
and he's Ghanaian the dude got enormous talent... as Shatta Wale
rightly said lastnight,we all Ghanaians,if you hate him,you hate Ghana
because he represent Ghana wherever he goes...I think the organisers of
Ghana meet Naija should render an open apology to EL..If they know it
wasn't a sabotage... my thoughts...let's learn to love ourselves as
Ghanaians.... @ghkwaku @starr1035fm ... El where ever you are big up
yourself u blessed and a great talent for Ghana no man can stop your
shine we know your worth bruv....my fellow legonite 👊 @elrepgh thumbs
